Kurtis Hinz - Chief Executive Officer

Kurtis Hinz, TAM International President

President of the company since 2011, Mr. Kurtis Hinz brings more than 16 years of experience in international logistics to TAM, the last 13 of which were in radioactive material transport. Mr. Hinz has been instrumental in developing the short- and long-term vision for the company, and has represented TAM in organizations such as the World Nuclear Association, the World Nuclear Transport Institute and numerous other groups. In 2019, he was also named Chairman of the World Nuclear Association Transport Working Group. In his role at the WNA, he continues to  work collaboratively with various nuclear industry professionals to address and mediate various issues in the transportation of nuclear material.

Mr. Hinz’s leadership ensures that TAM’s focus remains on strengthening the critical relationship between the customer and its transporter.

Jamie Smith - Chief Operating Officer

With 14 years of experience in international logistics – the last nine in radioactive material transport – Mr. Smith brings to TAM an extensive knowledge of manufacturing and global supply chain management.

Mr. Smith is responsible for managing all aspects of TAM International operations across USA, Canada, Asia and Europe for the transport of radioactive material and other high consequence dangerous goods.

Justin Whiteside - Chief Financial Officer

Justin Whiteside, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Whiteside is a Graduate of the University of Saskatchewan in 2010 with a bachelor of commerce degree. He received his chartered accountants designation in 2012 and began his career at Hergott Duval & Stack chartered accountants as an articling student. Mr. Whiteside moved on to work for MNP LLP as a manager in private enterprise. He joined TAM International in May 2015. Justin brings with him a wealth of knowledge in accounting and taxation compliance as well as offering financial analysis to make sound business decisions.

Kevin Loyens - Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer

A former Senior Manager, India and South East Asia for the Government of British Columbia’s Ministry of International Trade, Mr. Loyens’ primary roles at TAM International are to oversee the company’s business development efforts and to create business strategies that align with the evolving needs of logistics customers.

Mr. Loyens spent 6 years in Shanghai as the General Manager of Kerry-Talke Chemical logistics. Mr Loyens is fluent in English, Mandarin, French and Dutch and has extensive understanding of the transport industry in Europe and emerging markets, including China and India.

Steve Hansen - Chief Compliance Officer

With over 35 years of experience in the nuclear industry ranging from uranium transport to nuclear plant operations, Mr. Hansen is a subject matter expert in the handling and transport of Uranium Hexafluoride (UF6). A member of United States Nuclear Technical Advisory Group (NTAG), Mr. Hansen is qualified to provide international advice on USA 49 CFR HAZMAT transportation regulatory requirements for radioactive material transport. Mr. Hansen was also the former Chairman of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) N14.1 subcommittee.

Mr. Hansen’s specific capabilities include identifying global transport requirements (permits/export-import license management) and providing cost effective advice to customers on logistics process requirements for both USA/Canada domestic and international radioactive shipments (including air, road, rail, barge, and marine vessel options).

Jason Cybulski - Senior Vice President

Mr. Cybulski has over 25 years’ experience in the nuclear industry, and has held numerous senior leadership roles overseeing freight and distribution, facility operations, quality control, and NMC&A.  He has specific experience managing the transportation and packaging of radioactive materials, including uranium ore concentrates (UOC) and uranium hexafluoride (UF6).

Prior to joining TAM, Mr. Cybulski was the Director of Global Logistics for a Fortune 100 company, overseeing a supply chain that included refrigerants, chemical and analytical reagents, high strength fibers, computer chips and pharmaceutical packaging.  He has extensive experience leading diverse teams and driving sustainable results.

Jonathan Monks - Senior Manager

Jonathan has over 20 years experience working in commercial shipping. In his previous role, Jonathan worked for Nuclear Transport Solutions, a world leader in the transport of high level nuclear cargos. Prior to this, he set up and successfully ran the UK office for BBC Chartering – the largest heavy lift / project ship owner in the world. He has worked in a multitude of customer facing and BD roles and is well known in both the nuclear and shipping industries.

Nathalia Alba is a skilled physicist with 15+ years of experience in transporting radioactive materials. Her expertise lies in developing new business opportunities through strategic business development and prioritizing high standards of quality and service for customers. With a deep understanding of the industry, Nathalia delivers innovative and cost-effective solutions while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Madhur (Mick) Aggarwal - Director, Business Development

Mr. Madhur Aggarwal joined TAM International in 2019 and is working from Delhi, India. Mr. Aggarwal possesses over 19 years of experience in strategic consulting and finance. A Master of Finance from London School of Economics, Mr. Aggarwal has previously worked with Merrill Lynch Bank of America, KPMG United Kingdom, JP Morgan, federal and provincial government offices in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia.

Mr. Aggarwal brings vast experience and knowledge of developing new business, commercial feasibility, financial analytics and structuring, stakeholder management and logistics handling to the table. Madhur plays an active role in enhancing the regional and industry diversification strategy of TAM International.

Samantha Zacharias - Business Development Coordinator

Sam Zacharias is a graduate of Briercrest College and Seminary (2018) with a Bachelor of Arts, Business Admin: Management degree. She began her career at TAM International in June 2019 as a Logistics Coordinator. In March of 2020 she took on the role of Business Development Coordinator where she helps the team execute the business development strategy.

With more than 20 years of experience in international logistics – the last nine in radioactive material transport – Mr. Klassen is a professional freight forwarder with a specialty in international logistics and supply chain management. His areas of expertise include warehousing, inventory management, container packing /de-packing, seaport development, import/export customs formalities and road carrier development.

As a freight forwarding professional in the nuclear industry, Mr. Klassen has a strong understanding of the nuclear supply chain for global transport. Capable of managing teams that coordinate multiple global transports for multiple customers simultaneously, Mr. Klassen oversees the day to day operations of our entire group working collaboratively with our offices around the globe.

Florian Spielmann - Director, Europe Operations

Mr. Spielmann has over 14 years of experience in the transportation and packaging of radioactive materials, particularly uranium hexafluoride (UF6). He is a subject matter expert in dangerous goods transport regulations and is certified as a dangerous goods safety advisor for road (ADR), rail (RID) and sea (IMDG). In his previous position, he was WNTI HEXT Chair and industry representative in the IAEA TRANSSC WG.

Tennille Katelnikoff - Operations Manager

Tennille joined TAM International in February 2022 bringing more than 15 years of experience in the logistics and transportation industry, including 5 years in the transportation of radioactive materials. Tennille is a very proactive individual, with a passion for service excellence and meeting customer deadlines. Tennille is responsible for covering the North American Operations of TAM International, working closely with our customers and service partners in the area.

Summer Ledoux - Operations Manager

Ms. Ledoux joined TAM International in 2023 and has been responsible for transportation of high consequence cargo since entering the industry in 2017. Ms. Ledoux has extensive global experience in operations management, strategic sourcing, and supply chain within multi-facility environments. Her particular expertise includes developing startup international operations, complicated and high risk transfers of new and existing technologies, and building supplier relations. Ms. Ledoux is based in North America and is responsible for TAM airfreight shipments around the globe.

Nathan Atkins - Operations Coordinator

Mr. Atkins joined TAM International in March of 2023 bringing with him a host of talents from Sales to Marketing and has 4 years of experience in the transportation industry as a Pricing/Accounting Analyst. He graduated from Murray State with his bachelor’s degree in Business. Nathan’s drive for efficiency is an asset to TAM as he is involved in the operations of North American shipments.

Harriet Holden - Logistics Coordinator (UK)

Harriet Holden joined TAM International in October 2018, after 10 years working in Office Management and Executive Assistant roles. Mrs. Holden brings to TAM her experience in International operations, having successfully coordinated office setups in the United Kingdom and Japan, as well as logistical knowledge, having organized international sales trips and global management meetings. This is her first role in the transport industry. At TAM, she is responsible for covering European operations and working together closely with the Operations team in North America.

Brandi Mason - Logistics Specialist

Ms. Mason joined TAM in February of 2023. She brings with her 10+ years of experience in Multi-Unit Management with emphasis on Logistics & Supply Chain. Most recently she’s worked with her feet on the ground at Honeywell’s conversion facility in her hometown. 

Ms. Mason’s experience includes warehousing, inventory management, and local logistics. At TAM she is responsible for onsite support for one of TAM’s largest customers.

Elizabeth Murphy - Quality Assurance Coordinator

Ms. Murphy joined TAM International in 2021 and is located in Denver, Colorado. As a certified Project Management Professional, Elizabeth has over 30 years of experience working within the nuclear fuel manufacturing industry.

Ms Murphy’s previous experience includes roles within IT, Business Analytics, and Quality Assurance (ISO 9001:2015). She previously worked with Honeywell International and ConverDyn. Elizabeth brings with her a wealth of knowledge

in project management and quality assurance skills that enable TAM to provide superior service to its customers.

Allyssa Gunderson - Office & HR Administrator

With over 14 years of experience in Office Management and Administration, Mrs. Gunderson works to ensure that TAM’s day-to-day functions are running efficiently. Her skill sets gained from 10+ years experience in the Staffing industry include Branch Administration, Recruitment, and Human Resources, which make her an asset to TAM as the company continues to expand its team of experts.

Haley DeClercq-Raye - Controller

Haley DeClercq-Raye joined TAM in October 2023 in the role of Controller.  Haley graduated from Okanagan College with a Bachelor of Business Administration and began her career with LiveCA LLP as a bookkeeper. She received her Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2021. Over her years with LiveCA LLP, Haley worked her way up into a managerial role where she worked with various clients assisting in day-to-day finances, preparation of financial statements and taxation compliance. Haley brings with her a wealth of knowledge in implementing controls/processes, financial reporting and taxation compliance.
